When searching for top-tier streetwear, sneakers, and designer alternatives, the source of almost all products sold globally comes from two domestic Chinese e-commerce platforms: Weidian (weidian.com) and Taobao (taobao.com).

However, Weidian is designed exclusively for domestic Chinese mobile apps, making it tricky for international users to navigate. In this guide, you will learn how to decode factory batch names, identify top-tier sellers, and order directly through our partner agents.

Weidian vs. Taobao vs. 1688: What is the Difference?

  • Weidian (Micro-Store): The gold standard for sneakers and streetwear. Independent factory workshops host their mobile storefronts here. Prices are typically 30% to 50% cheaper than middlemen websites because you are buying from the first-level distributor.
  • Taobao: Alibaba's consumer marketplace. Best for independent clothing brands, heavyweight hoodies, vintage tees, and designer denim.
  • 1688 (Wholesale Alibaba China): Factory-to-business wholesale. Best for blank essential tees, everyday silver jewelry, socks, and accessories at raw factory prices ($2–$10).

Understanding Factory Batches: What Do Batch Codes Mean?

In the enthusiast fashion world, batches refer to the specific factory assembly line that produced the item. Different factories specialize in different leathers, stitching techniques, and molds:

GX / KW Batch

Specializes in Jordan 4s. Known for having the most accurate toe box cages, correct tongue heights, and retail-identical nubuck leather textures.

LJR Batch

The undisputed king of Jordan 1s. Features genuine tumble leathers, perfect hourglass heel shape, and crisp corner stitching.

PK 4.0 / FK Batch

The top-ranked batch for Travis Scott low silhouettes and Dunks. Highly accurate suede movement and correct reverse swoosh placements.

VT Batch

The community's favorite budget Dunk batch ($18–$25). Incredible value-for-money with clean stitching and durable daily wear outsoles.
